Where do the horns come from to make combs?

- Categories : Home , News

The horns are zebu horns (African cow), recovered at the exit of the slaughterhouse. Zebus are killed for their meat. Recovering their horns avoids waste.

In France, the animals are slaughtered too young for the horn to be stable enough and not at risk of becoming deformed over time. This is why the horns are imported from West Africa, where zebus live for more than twenty years.

Our importer is a small, trusted company that complies with strict hygiene and safety standards to prevent poaching.
